A posteriori
power estimation
Example 1: Mitochondrial DNA haplogroups or mtSNPs
Example 2: Autosomal SNPs
Note that the computation of a posteriori statistical power could be very unrealistic if the difference of frequency between cases and controls for the risky allele or haplogroup was seriously inflated by population stratification.
Total number of categories (
N
)
It must be positive and integer. The term categories refers to haplogroups or SNP variants (see examples for more information)
FREQUENCIES OF HAPLOGROUPS/SNP VARIANTS
Frequencies of haplogroups in cases and controls should be introduced in the same order
N
values separated by semicolon ";" are required
Frequencies in cases
Frecuencies in controls
SAMPLE SIZES
It must be positive and integer
Sample size in cases
Sample size in controls
Number of simulations
It must be positive, integer and not higher than 5000
Significance level
A fixed value must be chosen
STATISTICAL TEST
Chi-square test (Calibration method: asymptotic)
Chi-square test (Calibration method: permutation)
Number of permutations
It must be positive, integer and not higher than 5000
Fisher's Exact Test (only 2 x 2 tables)
Fisher's Test Approached (only 2 x k; k > 2)
Number of Monte Carlo simulations
It must be positive, integer and not higher than 5000
